Identification

An externally threaded fastener whose threaded portion is of one nominal diameter. It has a series of longitudinal ribs, splines or serrations on all or a part of the shoulder. The minor diameter of the ribs must be greater than the major diameter of the threads. See also bolt, ribbed neck.
